Andersen's description of his own early childhood, - a fable in which animals play human roles. The Ugly Duckling (1843) is perhaps H.C. Andersen's most famous adventure. In the story we follow a young swan who hatches on a duck farm. In the first part of the story neither the young swan nor the other animals around him know that he is not a duck. Because of his different appearance the young swan is treated badly. The story ends well, but along the way the little young swan has experiences he will never forget. The Ugly Duckling is a Scandinavian heritage that children of all countries should be able to experience. The adventure is exciting, told here with beautiful illustrations, music and sound effects. The adventure is easy to browse and requires no understanding of digital media. Suitable for children of all ages. Length approx . 35 minutes in 16 chapters
